How to Remove Blogger Default CSS & JavaScript [solved]

You can now easily remove default CSS and js of your blogger page.

In this post, you’ll understand how you can easily remove default Cascade Style Sheet (CSS) and Javascript (js) from your blogger page.

You’ve to keep in mind these things.

Before removing default CSS and js you’ve to make sure about these things. As it may result as widget not work.

REMOVING DEFAULT CSS

  • If you’re using default blogger theme then, it may cause some errors in the design of your web page.
  • In the case of customized blogger theme, it may not affect in design and in other expects.
  • And in case of blogger Theme, instead of template then there will no such effect or you may not see any default CSS.

REMOVING DEFAULT JS

Think twice before removing default js from your blogger page. After removing js many functions of your website may not work properly. And you can do this after deciding and finalizing, final layout for your website.

This is the list of components/functions which will not work after removing default js

  • The Contact form will not work if it is on the layout of the portal, you’ve separately define correct codes for it.
  • Any Voting widget or widget using js will not work
  • You will not able to modify your theme by just visiting the Layout section of your website. (Solution is also provided in this article.)

  1. Visit your blogger page, enter login details.
  2. Go to Theme > Edit HTML
  3. now you’ll see a like this, if you’re expert, it is header HTML tag
  4. To remove default CSS, you’ve to add b:css='false' in HTML tag
  5. To remove default js, you’ve to add b:js='false' in same HTML tag.

After adding b:css='false' in HTML tag your code will look like this. This will remove default CSS of your blogger template.

And After adding b:js='false' in HTML tag, your code will be like this.

And After adding both b:css='false' and b:js='false' inside HTML tag, it will be final as.

You can remove default js and CSS both or only JS or CSS. Mean you’re free to do this thing.

To make changes in The Layout.

At any point of time, if you’ve to make some changes in the layout of your web page then in this case. You can simply remove b:js='false' from HTML tag, and customized it. After completing, add it again.
